While rumors concerning the upcoming Google Drive service have been making their rounds on the internet for quite some time, they seem to have reached a level of excitement previously unheard of for a cloud storage service in the past few weeks.
Recent rumors also seem to be coalescing around an April launch. The Next Web reports that the service will launch sometime within the next week around Tuesday or Wednesday. They also report that the service will launch for free with 5GB of storage.
The service will allegedly be available on both Windows and Mac and will operate through desktop folders. This Mac availability is unconfirmed at the moment, however. The leaked image above also hints at some level of Android integration but the extent and features are still unknown at this time.
