In our second search related story of the day, Google has just announced several new features that will be coming to search in Gmail. These features look to put a focus on people with whom you exchange messages. A variety of enhancements will increase Gmail's abilities to search for contacts and integrate Google+ Circles.

When users search for a contact's email address, they will now see that users contact information displayed prominently along with the usual list of recents conversations and profile photo. These results will be accessible from both the search and chat boxes.

In addition to being able to search for individuals, users can now access information about their various Google+ Circles through Gmail as well. Circles integration has been a part of Gmail for some time now, but now users can view their Circles inside their inbox and when they click on an individual in that Circle, they will be taken to search results for that individual. Various search filters based on Circles have also been integrated. These features will be rolling out to all users today.
