If you thought Kinect and Move were top of the line, you were wrong, or actually, you were right until Leap Motion came up. With a motion sensor 200 times more precise than, let's say, Kinect, Leap unveils a gadget that is not only superb it's also budget-friendly.

What Leap Motion does can be, basically, described as bringing Kinect-like response to laptops and desktop PCs making them more pliable and human-friendly helping one to interact with their machine without the need of a mouse.

“The Leap creates a three-dimensional interaction space of 4 cubic feet to control a computer more precisely and quickly than a mouse or touchscreen, as reliably as a keyboard, Leap Motion’s patented software, the heart of the Leap, represents four years of research and a series of major mathematical breakthroughs by co-founder and CTO David Holz," reads the company's press release.

According to Leap, its Motion accurate is of 1/100 of a millimeter, which makes even actions like pinch to zoom possible. It goes way further what Kinect, Move and others are capable of, as it can be used for smaller motions in smaller screens.

Leap Motion will retail for only $70. Through Leapmotion.com, you can pre-order your device, but shipping is expected to start by December 2012 or January 2013.
