Amazon is working on multiple new Kindle tablets

New kindle fire tablets

Google has recently released the Nexus 7, a Kindle Fire competitor that matches the $199 price tag but offers more features. Now Amazon is readying “five or six” new tablets in different sizes including a 10-inch tablet to compete with Apple’s iPad and Google's Nexus 7. Demos Parneros, the president of U.S. Retail for Staples Inc shared this information with Reuters in an interview.

Amazon is planning to expand its mobile platform by introducing new Kindle Fire tablets in different sizes. There were rumors about a bigger Kindle Fire and Parneros confirmed this rumor in his interview. The rumored 10-inch Kindle Fire was reported to feature a quad-core processor, microUSB port, HDMI-out port and front-facing camera.

A refreshed version of the original Kindle Fire tablet is expected to debut with the other new tablets. But Parneros didn’t confirm if the “five to six” tablets will be two different models or are only different in sizes and storage options. But we can expect to see a great tablet war before the holidays.
