Barnes & Noble have announced yesterday that it’s reduced the prices of its less-expensive Nook tablets by $20. The company said yesterday that the Nook Color, the cheapest of all the Nook tablets is now available for $149, Nook Tablet 8GB version is now $179 and the 16GB version is now $199.
The Nook Tablet 16GB version was available for $249 earlier so it’s a big price drop. All these devices can be purchased from Barnes & Noble’s website now with free shipping offer. Amazon’s Kindle Fire which features 6GB memory is also available for $199 and now Barnes & Noble is ready to compete with Amazon with its 16GB Nook tablet.
Both the Nook Tablet and Nook Color feature a 7-inch screen with 1024x600 resolution and includes microSD card slots. But if you are thinking about buying a 7-inch tablet, avoiding this one would be a wise idea as Google’s Nexus 7 is currently ruling the 7-inch tablet market and Apple and Amazon are also working on two new 7-inch tablets that are expected to be available in the market this September.
