BeBook unveiled the world’s thinnest e-ink eReader recently called ‘Pure’. BeBook is a Dutch manufacturer ready to compete with the likes of Kobo, Amazon and Barnes&Noble with its eReader. The eReader features a 6-inch display and is thinner than its closest competitor, Amazon’s Kindle.
Pure is just 8mm thick and weighs only 188gms. Amazon’s Kindle is 8.5mm thick and weighs 247gms. Other attractive feature of this eReader is its 600MHz processor, 4GB of memory and microSD card slot for expanding storage that supports up to 32GB.
According to mobileentertainment, BeBook “can run for three weeks on a single charge and is good for around 12,000 pageviews," The eReader supports popular formats like ePub, PDF, RTF, TXT, HTML and FB2. But a major negative part of this device is its lack of touchscreen. You will find five keys directly under the display.
