It seems the early warnings of Apple’s demise have been vastly exaggerated. While the shares continue to behave erratically, it has been business as usual in terms of products, with the Cupertino Company dominating Christmas in just about every way.
The iPhone 5, iPad 4, and iPad Mini have all drastically outsold their closest respective rivals, while app downloads on iOS were much higher in the last week than on Android. The latest round of back slapping can begin at Apple with the news that it is dominating mobile web traffic in North America.
The company accounts for 87% of all web traffic on tablets in the United States and Canada. Signs show that devices such as Amazon’s Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7 from Google are encroaching on Apple’s territory, but not nearly enough to truly impact on the popularity of the Apple products with the wider public.
