Indoor map of San Francisco International Airport
Google Maps seems to be trespassing a new frontier in digital mapping. The service started this Tuesday (Nov 29th) indoor mapping of sites like malls and airports, so it will not only guide you there, Google Maps may now also guide inside these buildings.
Starting with selected malls, stores and airports in the United States and Japan, the feature was released publicly this Tuesday exclusively for users of Android smartphones or tablets. Initially, only a few buildings have their indoor mapping available, as Google is waiting for other sites to submit their indoor map plans to the company.
Google has no word to when this service will become available to the browser version of Google Maps or for Maps apps of other smartphone OS.
