Apple and Starbucks have had a long-time partnership. Recently, they've both reached a deal to allow Starbucks customers to download for free the music being played at the store to their iPhones or iPads.
They are about to do the same with the iTunes store apps by using a "Pick of the Week" card to showcase the apps available for free download.
Starbucks customers may find their "Pick of the Week" cards at the cash register with codes to enter the iTunes store and download the apps featured on the card.
The first app available for free for Starbucks customers is going to be Shazam Encore, a music-identifying app which costs $5.99.
