An anonymous tipster sent some interesting pictures in to Engadget today. The pictures show database listings for a previously unheard of iPad with Sprint data radios onboard. The only officially announced iPads with mobile data run on AT&T and Verizon. This will be the first generation of iPad running on LTE networks. This is coincidentally exactly the kind of network that Sprint is currently building out.
The latest version of the iPhone, the 4S, introduced Sprint compatibility. This puts these alleged pictures at least inside the realm of possibility. It is odd though that there was nary a mention of a Sprint model coming down the pipe at the recent iPad event. Sprint's LTE network is still in it's infancy so we might have to wait just a little longer to hear official word on this device.
