
Last year, statistics showed that China had reached the 900 million mobile subscriber milestone. This number shows no sign of slowing in growth. A new report issued today shows that the number of Chinese mobile phone users with subscriptions has surpassed the one billion mark.
This report measured the number of phone users in China and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The total number of subscribers increased by 20.7 million in the last two months. The number of users with 3G capable phones grew by 15.5 million to 143.92 million.
