Angry Birds, with all its various versions and growing availability for numerous platforms, has reached what can only be called a wildly impressive milestone. The popular mobile game has been downloaded over one billion, yes that's billion with a "b", times.
Angry Birds, which began as an iOS title back in December of 2009, has since branched out into several seperate games. These include Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, the feature film tie-in Angry Birds Rio, and Angry Birds Space. These games have, in varying combinations, managed to make their way to Android, iOS, Windows Phone, the BlackBerry PlayBook, Google Chrome, and nearly every other platform under the sun.
The video below, which comes straight from Rovio's blog post making the announcement, promises there is more to come from Rovio's incredibly successful franchise. Angry Birds is one of the best examples of the tremendous growth the last few years have brought to mobile gaming.
