The Xbox Live Arcade Edition of the gaming industry's favorite indie success story, Minecraft, has broken yet another impressive milestone. According to a tweet by the game's creator, Markus "Notch" Persson, Microsoft has just confirmed that the title has sold over one million copies.
This is even more impressive considering the XBLA version of the game only released five days ago on May 9. The title, available for $20 is also one of the most expensive XBLA titles to date. Other sales records broken by Minecraft include the fastest selling XBLA title of all time, moving over 400,000 copies in its first 24 hours on sale.
Persson appears to have avoided becoming jaded by the game's millions of copies sold on PC as he took to Twitter to write "Uhhhh, Microsoft just sent out a press release saying Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold a million copies in five days. Wow."
