The first episode in Telltale Games' five part The Walking Dead series, titled A New Day has officially sold over one million copies. A press release from Telltale Games marking the sales milestone was just issued. This welcome news as the release of the developer's last game Jurassic Park was met with disappointing reviews and equally disappointing sales.
What is even more impressive is that the title has been on sale for only two weeks. The Walking Dead was released on PC, Mac (where it is available for purchase directly from Telltale or on Steam), and Playstation Network on April 25. The game came to Xbox Live Arcade shortly after on the 27th.
As stated before, A New Day is only the first episode in a five part episodic series. The second episode, 'Starved for Help' is due out sometime this summer as is an iOS port of the first episode. Release dates for the last three episodes have yet to be revealed.
Telltale Games' The Walking Dead is currently available as a package deal which includes all five episodes for $24.99. Individual episodes are also available for purchase on the Playstation Network for $4.99 each or 400 Microsoft points on Xbox Live Arcade.
