Gamescom released a list of new games and product that will be displayed at Gamescom 2012 on its official website and Half-Life 3 is listed on the document as ‘expected’ announcement. Eurogamer reported later that a Gamescom representative told them that HL3 appearing on the list was “a mistake”.

According to LambdaGeneration, Valve was the one who asked Gamescom to put HL3 on the list. But the company asked them to remove HL3 from that list recently. The list also showed popular games like Dragon Age 3 and Final Fantasy Dimensions. But Gamescom told Eurogamer that adding Dragon Age 3 was also “a mistake”.
The list is translated from German via NeoGaf and is a list of games that are “expected” to be announced. Concept art of Half-Life 3 shows us that we can expect to see icy landscapes and alien worlds in the next game. So, there is a slight possibility that Valve will showcase Half-Life 3 at Gamescom this year.
