To accompany the Pinterest review I thought I would look at a little known fact about Pinterest. It is actually possible to post YouTube videos on there if you want. PInterest of course is a site for images and this is what it is intended for, but when you find a video that you find interesting there is no harm in using this little trick to post the link to the video.
Pinterest is basically a group of boards all collected together showing what people find interesting at that moment in time. With this being the case it’s fair to say that we will find videos just as interesting as images so why not show them off too?
Adding the Video to Pinterest
It is actually surprisingly easy to add videos though people don’t seem to do it that often. In reality it’s as easy as adding a picture. All you have to do is open up YouTube find the video you want to share and click on Share. Copy the URL for the video then load up Pinterest.

Once you are on the site paste the URL in there and click on Find Images. Sometimes it may say that there were no images found but most times it will take the default thumbnail for the video and use that as the preview. You can then post the video onto a board of your choice and it will be there for the Pinterest world to see.

The downside of Pinterest as with all social media sites of course is the copyright issues of the media that you are showing, always be aware that when you post something on your board you have to be aware of the rights you have to do that. If you posted a full movie on there for example this would be a major issue and illegal, so always refrain from doing something like that.
